I Just Don't Get It

This is one of those things I'll never quite understand. When you order a drink at a fast food restaurant, they typically come in small, medium, or large. Meanwhile all the drink lids are labeled in ounces or not labeled at all. It's easy enough to figure out which corresponds to which but why don't they label them as such?

Portfolio Update

As previously mentioned, Sam has forced me to completely rethink my portfolio. I was already getting tired of the old layout that none of you have seen because I never finished it, but this new one is a keeper. I can definitely tell that this one will be cool for at least long enough to get me a job.

The theme is basically a variation of what I put on this page yesterday. Here's a sneak peek.

Of course, any comments or critiques are welcome.

All for Naught

As Jeff pointed out, Sam's new portfolio is pretty terrible. So terrible, in fact, that I'm going to be making some moderate adjustments to my almost complete portfolio v4.0 in an attempt to make mine almost as bad as his. For the sake of continuity, I'll probably have to revise this page and my personal website to maintain this new, lower standard of quality.

Great.

Site Update

Made a slight change that should improve the site for firefox3 and opera. IE is being a little bitch with the scroll bars and chrome won't display the main images. I'll keep at it.

New Website

So in between my portfolio work I've been slowly working on my new website, which is nearing completion. The current build is up, so check it out at www.rossvelazquez.com . It has some minor issues as it loads the content and I'm trying to find a way around that without using flash or something really complicated. I've only tested this in firefox, so if anyone has other browsers installed, let me know if something is horribly awry.

vacuum update

I've been pretty much set on the white/lime green color scheme since the first time I did this project, but while messing around in hypershot i accidentally applied the logo red to the body and, well, it looked pretty good. Naturally I had to try some other combinations after that and now I'm not sure which one to go with. Maybe that last one...
