vacuum update

I've been pretty much set on the white/lime green color scheme since the first time I did this project, but while messing around in hypershot i accidentally applied the logo red to the body and, well, it looked pretty good. Naturally I had to try some other combinations after that and now I'm not sure which one to go with. Maybe that last one...

new stuff

While working on updating my portfolio, I needed some new renders of projects to use on the title pages. Since I lost most of the 3d CAD files when my hard drive crashed I've been reinventing some of these designs. Some more than others.

The power tool was a project that I was never satisfied with the result of. My design looked cool from one or two very specific angles but other than that it was pretty much worthless as a product. If only to ease my own conscious, I've enjoyed taking some cues from the original design and turning them into a product that's actually innovative and useful. It's not quite done, but you'll be able to see it when I post my finished portfolio in the near future. In the meantime, here's a little test render from this morning.
